1. Move valuables
Shift electronics, furniture and documents away from the leak. Lift items off wet carpet.
2. Catch the water
Place buckets or large containers under drips. Towels around the base. Empty regularly.
3. Switch off circuits if needed
If water is near light fittings or outlets, turn off that circuit at the switchboard.
4. Don't go on the roof
Wet roofs are dangerous. Leave it to a roofer with the right gear.
5. Photograph everything
Photos of the damage help with insurance claims later.

No. Wet roofs are dangerous. Catch internal water with buckets, move valuables, and call us. We'll handle the roof.
